Woman usually speak in hyperbole to get a point across, while men like to speak with solid facts.

Wife - "We should go to xyz! We never go to xyz!"

Husband - "We were there two weeks ago! Wtf are you talking about?!"

They were both obviously at xyz two weeks. Why would the woman lie about? She's not. As stupid as some people like to think women might be, they're not. Its just a different wavelength. Almost a different language.

I'm not defending anyone but this is usually a point of strife between the sexes, and I like to point it out when it seems relevant.

What the Fuck are you talking about? I didn't realize I talk through my pussy. Is that a fact?

Well that's a prime example of taking what I said and regurgitating it as hyperbole.

It's the opposite in my house. My husband is the "we never.." "you always..." person and I call other people out for exaggerating all the time (if they are exaggerating to deceive I mean, not just to make a story funnier or something). I'm also the one who suggests actual solutions to problems to people who only really want commiserations so maybe I just have more of that male brain thing going on.

No reason solutions can't come from either side, but I get what you're saying.

The "impossible standards" line is not something that came up in casual conversation, it's an actual talking point in the body positivity movement, employed by both men and women.

If attractive photos of thin people are all photoshopped, whence cometh the Fappening selfies?

I think this might fall more under mental gymnastics than a sex-based bias to express oneself a certain way.

I've seen both sexes spout hyperbole as much as each other.
