Relationships are a two-way street, for both better and worse. She may have decided to "quit dieting", although at a starting weight of 140 I doubt there was much calorie counting to begin with, but he's got to be enabling her somehow.
He needs to figure out what he's doing that allows her to become an obeast and he needs to stop.
If he really loves her, it could come down to taking control of the finances, the shopping, the cooking, even taking away her car keys or better yet sell the car and make her walk everywhere.
Or he could divorce her big yeasty ass.

I saw some tumblr tard post this on FB before and I confronted her about it. The reeing was epic and she quickly blocked me (posted by a friend of a friend but her comments weren't restricted to friends only so I got to troll). I laugh when people act like only men can be the abusers in relationships. If anything women are more likely to use the children against the men, abuse men financially, guilt trip and coerce them (back to children). I have multiple male coworkers going through divorces (all instigated by the women) and it's the same story everytime, woman demands sole custody of kids, wants more than 50% of male's earnings, etc.
