They're worse with kids. Any event involving kids seems to involve food now. 45 minute show, out come all the snacks. Children are getting taught that they need to be in a perpetual state of consuming, like fat women that 'graze' all day. We used to have discreet meals: breakfast, lunch, dinner. I'm in Australia and I have to pack these bullshit extra made-up meals for school : 'morning tea' and 'afternoon tea'. Apparently kids will die if they don't eat between breakfast and lunch, or lunch and dinner.

Yeah great observation. I noticed this growing up how at my house it was basically 3 square meals a day, with little or no snacking in between. When I would hang out with friends at their houses and saw they were eating pop tarts and sugary snacks between every meal, I have to say my 8 year old self was pretty jealous. This grazing trend has definitely been increasing over the past 20-30 years.
