Well, from Tyler's point of view I don't see why he shouldn't blame OP and her bf. They've been shitty friends to him. Nothing they've done was done with his best interests in mind - they only cared about their own benefit and possibly about the whale's. He's better off without them in his life.

This is true. My best friend's boyfriend tried super hard to set me up with his friend, a FAT 45 year old nerd (nothing wrong with nerds, just big fat ones), and I was probably 24 at the time. I was pissed at this guy, for he had convinced his friend that I was super interested in him. He gave him my number and would invite me over and not tell me he was there. My best friend didn't really try too hard to stop it, like maybe say that this wasn't a good idea as I was way out of his league (sorry, conceited) and It took forever for me to get him to leave me alone.

I was very pissed at my friends. I almost didn't even blame gross fatty as much because he had been convinced I would be interested. Me, half his age and probably 3 and half times smaller.

That is outrageous.

I have a male friend looking for a girlfriend, he's pretty fit and likes to be active, he's fairly handsome, I would give him a rating of a 7 or 7.5/10. My gf suggested one of her colleagues at work, because "she's nice". I said to my gf, ABSOLUTELY NOT NO CHANCE IN HELL would I suggest this girl to my buddy. This girl is 300 pounds. I told my gf I actually like my buddy and it would be insulting him for us to try to set them up together. I was pissed at my gf that I even had to have that conversation with her, she should have known better.

Honestly some people just don't get it.

I think he was going for that definition: http://www.urbandictionary.com/define.php?term=thick

A girl looking like this might fit the bill: http://cdn.quotesgram.com/img/54/38/220785572-tumblr_kydzerbr6f1qag8gfo1_500.jpg

I can see there might be some room for misunderstanding, but before I'd introduce a friend to someone who I think is grotesquely ugly, I'd make damn sure that this is what he wants. I imagine if a friend told you they like "thick girls" your reaction would also be "really, what do you mean by thick?" and not "oh, yeah this guy clearly wants to fuck pigs, that's totally normal".

When he said "I like thick women", he could very well have been referring to actually thick women (read: muscular legs/glutes) like Michelle Lewin or Anllela Sagra, not the lardasses stealing the term like they did "curvy".
