I would go for addicted. Combined with stupid in many cases :) There is one thing which I have never been able to understand though - stress/emotional eating. The natural body response to stress is "flight or fight". Animals don't start eating excessively when they are under stress, it's usually the opposite - they refuse food. The body releases cortisol and adrenaline and prepares itself for action. It does not waste resources to digest food and risk being slowed down. But that's exactly what we see happening with fats - they react with overeating. So, in brief, I believe that the so called emotional eating is more of a symptom of addiction than a natural body response. I react to stress by lighting a cigarette (not saying that it is a good thing, just an example!). It's an addiction as well, but it results in adrenaline release, similarly to the above described response to stress. I cannot say anything about the eating disorders...if they are a real problem and not just an excuse, they are treatable by professionals and after the treatment should result in recovery and weight loss. I don't see that happening often, honestly. About the laziness - sure, lots of people are lazy :) when combined with too much food, it results in a fatty :) Then fatty gets stupid because if the effects in the brain someone mentioned, and at the end it start looking for excuses like mental issues :)
