I don't normally entertain someone who will comment before bothering to read the post but this specifically pertains to the costs of healthcare. Not only is healthcare skyrocketing for the individual but others are also forced to share some of the burden.

When you have to take 5-6 medications a day in your 40's, plus your very own scooty puff, plus oxygen tanks, etc it adds up and these costs are getting higher for both the individual and the whole of society.

Ignore the crazy. Probably fat anyway.

Not really crazy, just misplaced. You really can have both the unending wars/occupations and obesity be huge fiscal drains.

While you are correct about the costs, and shared burden upon U.S. taxpayers supporting the healthcare system, you are simultaneously wrong about the true scope of the cost of the unending wars over the past 20 years.

Trillions.... TRILLIONS every year go into a war effort that has produced nothing but even more problems that stem directly from the war. Wounded Veterans, Refugees, and increased foreign aid to the areas that "The West" is bringing freedom to.

The mind-blowing amount of dollars the U.S. has spent, and is still spending on wars ( and addressing their aftermath ), makes the cost of supporting fat-fucks look like lunch money.

"...look like lunch money."

And it costs a lot of money to feed a fatty.
