My guess is that the mannequins just show you how fats see themselves (with normal bodies, just larger), even though it's pretty far removed from the reality. When fats say thin or healthy bodies are unrealistic, they're just lying to themselves to feed their denial and make themselves feel better.
Bonus advice: look into active/sporty clubs (rock-climbing comes to mind) or sign up for some intramurals at your college. Meeting new people in college can be intimidating, but you just have to put yourself out there.

Start your own 'dressing-free salad club', fatties will avoid that like a flight of stairs and hopefully a shitlord/lady will have the same train of thought.

That would make me cough, I love balsamic vinegar on my salad.

In a lib arts college you can probably still find some shitlords, just look for the athletic gay men - the ones that have no butterball sj friends.

I was doing a graphic design program, and I also wasn't able to relate to many in the art department. Most of the people doing graphic design were geeky fats that were really into the Japanese anime culture and comic books (a huge no for me). Now I'm doing marketing, and its about half/half of normies and whales. But, if I get to talking to a human, I usually strike up a conversation by asking if they're into any physical fitness or sports. Thats usually a good way to meet other (maybe) shitlords/ladies.

At first I thought you were talking about bikinis for men..

Aw, it's ok. I live in Austin, where people are paradoxically fit/obsessed with fitness, yet very liberal (think almost-SJWs). I have almost no one to talk to. You can message me if you want lol
Also, I wish those mannequins had rolls to show what the clothing would look like. It would be universally horrible anyway, but still realistic.

yeah I go to a school that may or may not be private that's in a town close to you 😜. I'll tell you in a DM but idk how to do that because I'm bad at technology and don't wanna get doxxed 🙃.

You can probably find other shitladies at the school gym.

I was a Graphic design minor. In class we were talking with the instructor and he said "what a healthy lunch" and "you three ladies definitely don't have a weight problem." We were the only thin women in the entire class. It was at a women's college, so that's a lot of flab!
There are likeminded people at college, but they don't speak out about it. Why? REEEEEEEEE REEEEEE! I would have quietly suggested that feminism or any other ideology doesn't excuse accepting obesity, but of course nobody did.
[–] Poisonivorie [S] ago
Yeah. In one class I hinted that we had an obesity problem and everyone yelled at me because I had "good genetics" and that I'm "privileged". Everyone was allowed to have an opinion except me because mine was what no one wanted to hear.
