https://archive.is - maybe posting this would have helped. You can have a easy archive button on the desktop by dragging the bookmarklet to your toolbar.

Ah, yes, silly me. I don't know why I didn't do that in the first place. Thanks!

If a post redirects to Reddit, I automatically skip over it.

The other way around is better - submit the direct link, archive in the comments.

Why? Because a lot less people take the time to click into the comments and follow the direct link just for the sake of downvoting. But when you direct link the original submission, that big downvote arrow is right there, and oh so tempting.

Edit: and to add - when we brigade their safe space, they find their way back here, and ree ree ree because there's nothing they can do about it. Triggers the shit out of them.

Reddit can die in its own fire. I don't even have an account there anymore. So it ends up being just free page views for them. Their revenue comes from ads whose value is based on traffic. The more traffic we give them the more they're worth.

Personally I think triggering fatties is more important than denying reddit impressions.

Use Adblock. And just because you deleted your account doesn't mean everyone else should. You're acting like the stupid fats who want the whole world to cater to them.

"Lol, but if we downvote them they'll know we don't like them, and feel bad while they collect ad revenue, lol."

Traffic doesn't earn them money, ads do. Just put em on your adblocker.

What do you think ad rates are based on? They're based on traffic. Traffic is a massive factor in revenue. Also, reddit is clearly being paid to make sponsored content look like regular content. That's why they have so many controls in place.

Down vote all reddit links into oblivion, no matter how good.

I have no problem with linking to reddit, my adblock is setup to destroy basically everything from that page, so maybe they will pay for webhosting for my traffic, but to no revenue from ads ...
