Truth: it doesn't matter how many times you eat, it's how much.

fuck's sake.

Earing low calorie foods in small portions every 2-3 hours WILL make your belly flat around the clock. It keeps you from getting bloated after you eat and it's great for maintaining a good energy level throughout the day. This is like all the other "weight loss lifehacks". It has nothing to do with weightloss! This is advice that one fit person would give to another fit person. A fat is just fat and there's nothing else to it I mean can anyone honestly even tell when a fat is bloated or not? Can a fat even tell when they are bloated or not? I fucking doubt it. Ultimate weight loss life hack for a fat is just "less". eat less. Find out exactly how much you are eating and eat less. Done!

MYTH: You can lose weight by eating less, choosing valuable food and exercising on a regular basis.

TRUTH: You cannot lose weight because of thyroid cundishunz. Oh and that 5 small cupcakes won't make a difference, cmon.

And that 'coffee' has caffeine, that counteracts the heavy cream and syrup in it. And it's a liquid so the calories don't count, anyway.

And don't forget that they ate like.. a little bit of lettuce (drenched in mayo), and vegetables are negative calories!

Yeah, it was really tragic the way the Nazis overfed all those people during the holocaust to make them so thin.

Well, hammate is on some kind of diet now where she has to get in a certain number of calories a day. I don't get it. Haven't asked about it. But at the end of the day she'll look at her MFP and say "Oh, I need to get at least 400 more calories in and I'm not even hungry. What do I do?"

How about um, not eat?

I use MFP mainly to track my macros and make sure I'm eating the right amount and that it's good shit. I'm always under my goal and wouldn't dream of eating just to hit that number - where on earth is the logic in that?

Does Hammate think she's going to enter starvation mode and balloon even more?

I fucking hate those "choose your activity level" clickboxes - they're ridiculous. It's like hit "Moderate" and you get 1800 calories. Hit "Active" and you get 2400.

There's no measurement or scientific basis to pick which one. So you have a sedentary fat person that clicks [Active] and gets bonus calories, then complains they can't lose weight.

Bombshell: if you eat crap all the time, your body is going to crave more crap. If you eat real food and attune yourself to what your body needs, it'll stop being hungry just for fun.

But yeah, if the computer told you to eat more, better do it without question.

Mfp tells you when you eat too little you are at risk of going into starvation mode, or at least did up to a month ago. I'll check today and see if it still does, I hurt my foot so I've been on a deficit since cardio is out for this week. Will update.

Edit: nope, I put in the snacks I had planned for tonight, put me under 1200 by 130 and it didn't nag me the way it used to. Normally I eat between 15-1800 nowadays but mfp used to warn me I was going to starve when I had my rest weeks and rolled back my calories to laziness. Seems they fixed that. I may start using it again.

That probably is exactly what it thinks. Its plan is probably based on fat logic.

For people who are underweight or nearly so, I get it. They really do have to make sure to take in a bit more, but fats have no reason other than not understanding cico.

The first one is so obnoxious. No one eats that little unless they truly have to. And I never got the whole 'YOU NEED TO EAT 6 MEALS A DAY OR ELSE' thing. I mean, if that works for you, good? But I only eat when I'm hungry, when is usually only 3-4 times a day. Other times, I'll drink tea or black coffee.

Shit, I only eat once or twice a day (inb4: "starving myself"— they're large enough meals to cover my daily requirements); people simply find out what works best for them, over the years. It's nothing but personal preference. Frequency of eating matters not, only TDEE and calorie counting. Ts'it.

Lunch is almost always my biggest meal of the day. People are so shocked I don't even eat dinner/supper; I just end up snacking on various things throughout the evening, instead of stuffing down a large meal.

Breakfast: 4-500, Lunch: 7-800, Snacks: remainder, mostly nutritious stuff like fruits, nuts, smoothies, veggie yogurt dips, jerky, seeds, etc, but often treats too, sprinkled throughout the week. Very forgiving, flexible and gives lots of room to accommodate splurges and decadent meals. It works great for me, so why not, and I'm never denying myself anything. I eat ice cream, cookies, pies, donuts, pizza, wine, beer, just not daily in massive quantities.

Coffee, the caffeinated filler that keeps you going all day! Drink coffee all day, usually only eat dinner.... a very big dinner.

Coffee is so inexpensive when you make it at home and has zero calories, as well as keeps me going. Coffee is life.

This is what I do. I might have a small snack in the afternoon (I'm breast feeding) but come dinner time I can easily eat as much as I want and have room for a little sweet treat before bed. I'm talking a scoop or two of ice cream, or a few cookies, not the entire container like fats

Can we all take a minute to look at the truth side? Specifically the food. Yeah, you can eat 5-6 times a day if it's low-calorie. But we have to be realistic here. You had the fats at "eat."
