My best friend died from a heroin overdose when I was 19. Was sobered up for a whole year. Getting her life together finally. All that bullshit, then had a relapse just once, and that was it. Died in her bed.

Makes me see red when people compare food as anything close to that stuff. They're out to look like victims overcoming some terrible challenge. Christ. I can't stand them. Eating food is nothing close to an addiction.

Maybe smoking is a more apt comparison.

Just because it doesn't kill you then and there doesn't make it less bad. In a way it's worse because it ruins your life slowly despite being such a stupid thing.

A coworker once told me, unprovoked, that being fat should be treated with the same stigma as smoking and alcoholism.

He was the shitlordiest guy I ever knew. Later went into the Air Force as an EOD tech. Spec-ops-connected people aren't full of the bullshit regular people are.

All good. Lost her but became pretty good friends with her mom. You lose some you win some.

Hard out. If it wasn't their fault for being fat then there would be docos out there filming a few selected fat people for a few months to see why and how it is not their fault? There would be information available readily by reliable sources on why people are fat even though it's not their fault! But goddamnit it is and that's why we don't lol! How could not more people have this type of logic!
