Its a weird feeling, I didnt realize how bad of a heel striker i was until i went minimalist and barefoot.

Running changes drastically, and its amazing how running like that alters your gait and stride. It actually made me more of an efficient runner, and when it comes to trails, more sensory information, and faster reflexes and adaptations to slippery ground, those random rocks and roots, gravel, etc...

Whenever my mom has an issue with her gait (stride gets sloppy, she bruised her heel a few weeks ago, etc.. and she is a 61 year old boston qualifier) she spends time running barefoot in the grass or switches to a slower run in the vibrams while her muscles remember how they are supposed to work. (She normally runs in newtons).

Mom sounds like a badass! Do you happen to lift in your minimalist shoes as well? That was another concern of mine. Even though my current shoes are relatively low profile I still prefer to squat with socks only.

I dont even lift bro 😂. My oldest brother (wanna be swoll bro) only uses them for weight lifting though. I have used them for rock climbing and bouldering though
