I usually carry about 10 mags for my Desert Eagle and 5 mags for my backup Glock 20.

I'm picturing you looking like Pancho Villa with his bandoliers, but with them holding mags insteads of individual rounds.

Excessive, perhaps. But I like it!

For concealed? One in the gun, one spare. If I need much more than that I was fucked to begin with. This is with my P-01 and 15 round magazines. If i'm opting for ultimate lightness/comfort I carry a Makarov clone with 8rnd magazines, same thing one in the gun and a spare.

If I'm carrying openly, one in the gun, two in a holder on the opposite hip. That's my P-09 with 21 round magazines.

I don't usually carry an extra magazine. I am fairly slim and like formfitting clothing, so there's just not very much room for to carry stuff.

Now that it's winter time and heavier looser clothing is a thing, I've started tucking an extra magazine into a coat pocket.

I concur with your "fucked to begin with" sentiment. Eventually, I will have a subcompact in an ankle holster as my "spare magazine."

Yeah, If I need all four of my mags, shit has really hit the fan. Interesting combinations of pistols.

I thought about getting a cheap Bulgarian Makarov and converting it to 9mm. 9x18 can be hard to find around here.

If I am carrying for comfort, I carry my Beretta 84 with a spare mag in my pocket. I carry so many with me because I am limited to eight rounds per mag in my 1911.

Sportsmans Warehouse carries Tula 9x18 and Hornady 9x18. I feel lucky on that.

Don't really plan on needing 24+1 bullets so i don't really find it necessary unless I'm traveling far I'll stick my extra mag in my front pocket

I used to carry my spares in my front pocket. 24+1 niiiiiiiiiiiice. I found it far more difficult to pulls the mags out of the front pocket rather than back pockets. That could just be me though.

Sorry i may have been misleading. I definitely don't have a 24 round magazine lol. I meant if i were to carry my extra mag (12) I'd have my 12+1 and the additional 12. I just really don't see myself getting in an extended shootout where I'd need all 25 rounds.

With the chest rig, I walk around with 5 mags of 30. I do look odd in the summer tho.

Just say your rectangular six pack was caused by lifting boxes.

I have the same-ish opinion on it. If the mags are too uncomfortable, screw it, one spare it is. My 1911 is enough weight on my belt for a skinny guy like me, back pockets, or side pockets on cargo pants if I am out hiking, are the best bet for me.

I need more 1911 mags. the price on most of them, especially the 8 round ones, sting a little though.

I use these. The plastic on the butt of the mag is a tad annoying buy I live with it for the extra round.
