I usually assume I'm retarded and rely on the pc-part-picker website to tell me compatability issues.

Put the CPU and RAM in, then try the new power supply. I suggest doing this to remove all other factors and you will need to ensure you have the power supply connected right.

If/when that fails, try a different power supply. If it fails then try your new power supply on another computer you know works. Thus should tell you whether or not it is the power supply that is the problem (could be multiple parts failing).

Basically, take parts you know work and try to put them in place of questionable ones until you find the culprit. Isolate them and test them one at a time if you can.

Oh sorry, I tried several different psu, from 300w to 700w, same result. Even tried this psu in a different computer and works fine. I've never had this problem before. Individually the parts seem fine, AFAIK, they're all compatible too.

Looks like you got your answer. I would never visit that PC repair shop again. The fact they overlooked a simple compatibility issue speaks volumes about their ability to assist you in the future.

Well I got the board, it turns on. I just can't get any picture out of it. I have seriously never had trouble like this before building a pc. I give up, returning everything and just buying a pre-built pos.

This sounds like something with the GPU then.

Try a safe mode boot and see if it will work using only Mobo components.

It's very unlikely but it's also possible you have a bad video cable, sometimes a missing pin can stop the image altogether

Power through it. You'll gain the ability to pay fucking attention to details.

Well the only thing you've not swapped that I'd check is the actual power supply.

I tried some in this one with same results. The rosewill will power my other computer.

did you make sure to plug in all the 12v lines into the mobo? There is more than just the 24pin ATX rail now a days
