Anna is awesome indeed! But I was a little bored of SpOck.

MCU Tony Stark is a vast improvement to 616-Tony. I completely gave up on the character after Civil War, damn near stopped reading Marvel comics altogether. I'd be more excited for Captain America: Serpent Society than the Civil War movie.

At least in the first Iron Man movie, how close was MCU Tony to 616 Tony? Or did they pretty much start from scratch with the movies?

I get frustrated with all the hate for Frank Miller's Batman: The Dark Knight Strikes Again. I actually really enjoyed it and thought it was better than The Dark Knight Returns.

I read it this week, and while I love the messages in it (TDKR and Prez), I feel like he forced it into his writing this time. Also, I think it's the ugliest comic I've ever seen, and while that art may fit the script, it's still tough to look at.

I'd honestly love a counter-argument though, and suggestions for books with worse art.

  • Saga is good, but not that good. And while I'm on the subject of Vaughan, Pride of Baghdad felt forced and overwrought. I loved Y: The Last Man, though.
  • I adore Alan Moore's Swamp Thing, but the arc where he's trying to make it back to Earth was the low point of that run. The ending to that run felt abrupt, as well. But maybe that's because I just wanted it to go on forever.

Despite ultimately preferring Mary Jane, I really liked Carlier Cooper and Peter Parker together and was incredibly disappointed when they broke up after Spider-Island.

I've gotta ask, what did you like about her? I only recently got into comics a few years ago, but when I read issues with her in them I just can't stand her character. She sounds so full of herself.

I want Spidey and Silk to be an item.

I like them together too, but what about Spidey and Spider-Gwen?

This killed me the first time I saw it

I always thought it would've been great if Spock and Carlie ended up together.

Frank Miller and Alan Moore may have been the shiznit back in the day, but their stuff has never really impressed me.

Scott Snyder is a mediocre writer. His writing is all over the place. He can't structure a good story arc, he starts out by telling a good concept of a story but then he seems to hit a wall and then says "Fuck it, I have no idea what I'm doing" and gives the weakest endings.
