Cognitive science is the interdisciplinary scientific study of the mind and its processes. It examines what cognition is, what it does and how it works. It includes research on intelligence and behaviour, especially focusing on how information is represented, processed, and transformed (in faculties such as perception, language, memory, attention, reasoning, and emotion) within nervous systems (humans or other animals) and machines (e.g. computers).
Share and discuss research, methods, software and toolkits, issues, questions, and ideas. Given the interdisciplinary nature of the field, all topics are welcome as long as it fits the general idea of the scientific study of cognitive processes. Please refrain from sensationalist/clickbait articles unless they can be used to illustrate a point and contribute to a meaningful discussion.
If you are involved in and/or highly interested in cognitive science or any of the related disciplines (psychology, AI, linguistics, philosophy, computer science, etc.) and would like to get involved in /v/cogsci, please message me!
