I live in the US, and while I am not blind to certain advantages we have here, I do experience a fair amount of existential dread with regards to my health or working a soulless, dead end job. I'm not a huge fan of our government, either.

I've always wanted to move to Canada or New Zealand. Anywhere else would be just for a visit, I think.

With New Zealand's bourgeoning film industry that'd be cool. Any specific reason for those places?

NZ is just gorgeous and I have a few online gamer friends that live there; and Canada because I grew up in a border town and spent a lot of time there growing up. It was always very clean and everyone seemed really polite. Plus, when I was 17, I found a discarded cigarette pack in the park there in Niagara Falls, and it said "Le cigarette cause le cancer". It was the only piece of trash on the ground in the entire park, so I took it with me.

Anywhere specific in Europe? My parents once went through Paris, Prague, they did a whole Europe thing.

I'm also Australian. I don't like the whole work 9-5 lifestyle and never really getting ahead of anything. Just being a slave to a broken system.

I would like to move somewhere remote like the Solomon islands. I have family who already live there in remote areas that are self sustaining so I can definitly see myself leaving this country soon.

Edit: a character.

All the best to you. Gah, our current situation makes me so angry.

Yes, our current situation here is horrible and I could whine about it all day. There's also really no way to fix corruptness when it's being blinded by more corrupt people. Unless of course the same thing happens here as what happened in Iceland.

Mine's an usual one.

If the PKK walk the walk with their ideals, I'd like to see future Kurdistan, and watch as it grows into the only secular, first world country on the middle east, along wih that libertarian socialism stuff.

Currently in Canada. Want to move to SF bay area since I'm in the tech industry but the cost of living down there is ridiculous!

I'd love to go to San Fran. I love the Giants, plus I was a big fan of Charmed growing up. I've toiled with going to Toronto to do get menial jobs on various film sets because that just happens. From what I've seen of Canada it's awesome though. What kind of tech do you deal with?

Mostly front end web development but I dabble with back end dev too. Recently I've been trying to get into game development but that is a different kind of development altogether so it takes some effort to transition. The Toronto area is where I've been working for the last 9 or so years.

Copenhagen. Nice. I had a friend who hit it big musically in Germany, not a pop star or anything but apparently a great pianist and working with some top notch orchestras.

What about those places attracts you? :-)

Why Taiwan?

I'm learning Mandarin, and I'm slowly learning Traditional Chinese characters. From what I've seen Taiwan is where I'd like to be, it's different enough without being alien to me, I guess. Obviously a trip first to dip my toes into the water before I made any legit decisions, but from what I've researched so far it sounds cool.
