I see gullible sheeple enjoying their keyless transponders in their pockets, right where their genitalia are. They don't understand that they are putting their balls in danger. Can't understand that car manufacturers are demented. Anyway, keyless transponders are also hackable by a simple frequency jammer.

also can fail if you park too close to a cellphone tower, leaving you unable to drive away.

I think the signal is coming from the car. The FOB is a passive RFID, like your badge at work (I think).
