Well pepper/bear spray's legal against wildlife, so campers and people working in the wilderness can carry it. But for protection (against humans) it's prohibited. Pretty much everything's prohibited for self-defense here. Sure you can get a license to own rifles and handguns, but if you claim it's for protection they won't give you a license.
