Looks nice.
Dropped half the ram though, I suppose for 99% of things it won't matter.

4690k though? Isn't that a pretty big dip? https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=adaM1AwloSo

Depends what youre doing.

If you are just gaming then you really shouldnt need more than an I5 4690k. Most games will not utilize the hyperthreading of the I7 and the I5 can be overclocked to compete fairly well with the I7.

On another note, if you are just gaming I doubt you will even need 8 Gigs of RAM. I rarely even break into the 5 Gig range while gaming. 16 gigs is fine to have, but anything over that is really overkill unless you have a specific need like video editing and what not.

In this build he has recommended a very expensive SSD. Although a 1TB SSD would be nice it might not be the most cost effective storage solution right now. I generally recommend a 250 - 500 GB SSD and a 1TB mechanical HD in tandem. Ill let you figure out what works for you. No matter what you do you will want at least 1 TB of storage space.

not if you overclock the 4690k to 4.5ghz. http://cdn.overclock.net/a/a5/a5c91191_gtav_vhigh_cpu.png if you dont feel comfortable overclocking then you could get a h97 board and the 4790k and it will boost to 4.4ghz.

Do you really need 16GB? I'm a researcher in San Diego and I need 16GB to simultaneously watch Netflix, do MATLAB experiments and play a single core game. Even with all this I barely crest 16GB of RAM. IMO 8GB is all you need for video games and such.
