I like historical/speculative fiction, particularly in England/Europe/Skandinavia from about 400AD to around 1400AD. I am a big fan of Bernard Cornwell, Jack Whyte, Stephen Lawhead, Ken Follett and the like. I also like fantasy and sci-fi, but historical fiction is right in my wheelhouse.

Cornwell did a good job, but I have to give the edge to Jack Whyte on that one. The Dream of Eagles series was damn good.
