I am currently reading the third book and loving it! Same feel as the first two. I was a little worried I would have trouble keeping all the families and character connections straight but it reads just fine without having to remember all the nitty gritty details from the first two books!

It's really good, set about 150 years after and focused on their descendants but a lot of the same buildings and locations. I'm probably going to give it another read this autumn.
Edit: I only saw a part of the mini series though so I can't comment too much on that. But it looks like it might be good too.
