I was in high school way back when the govt was first integrating the schools, and even back then the violence the black kids brought with them was on a frightening scale we had never seen before: it was extremely scary to realize that these kids had no respect for themselves, for us other students, and even for the adults who were supposed to maintain order. It's a frightful thing to realize that your safety in school is no longer something to be taken for granted but is now only proportional to how many black kids are in the vicinity. Thanks.

Could just as well be my old high school. In instances like this, I'd just step around the corner and continue eating my lunch.

My old high school was not like this until they improved it with diversity. How stupid we were to eat quietly like white people and sometimes even study when we could have been fighting.
