For a long time I've tried to find good solutions on how to decentralize CCN and ensure true transparency - which could become a new standard in the media industry.
There are a few issues that I haven't managed to find any workable solutions for yet:
Legality: Do we need a company as its backbone? If yes, wouldn't there still be some centralization left? How to overcome it? How to ensure that salaries are paid and income are taxed without any centralization or company, and yet follow European laws? (I'm not sure if there is any other workaround than to have a company manage the core operations).
Tech aspects: How to ensure real decentralized news? Transparency of all communication within the core team of journalists and editors? 0 contact with the core team and people that may want to influence the news? Open editing, publishing, writing for everyone (creating massive chaos?). Who will decide what should be written if there were no editors? And how to cover breaking news, and still keep it decentralized?
Distribution of profits: How to ensure distribution of profits, if any, without a legal corporation and still stay legal? If a legal corporation is necessary, how to ensure a decentralized nature?
Ownership: Who should own a decentralized media platform? A lot of people? How should they aquire a stock? A max % of ownership per person? Should companies be able to buy stocks? Other ideas?
These are the main issues I've found to start a decentralized news site. I'm here to listen to your ideas and suggestions. If you have other concerns in creating a decentralized news platform, please comment and let's discuss it.

It's CNN I assume you're talking about.
What is the goal you are trying to reach? What problem are you trying to solve?
