If you're interested in mining as a hobby be aware that you will likely operate at a loss. Running a full node that you have full control over will also improve your privacy and security compared to using a light wallet. Anyway, life sucks and then you die, I guess. Granted, a lot of this bitcoin stuff is a bit over my head and coinbase was the only wallet I tried, but if Hawaii has already made it impractical for coinbase then how much longer before other states follow suit?
