Strava's bent the knee and are going to become an anti-racist corporation. Whatever that means...Is there any competitors out there compatible with Garmin devices? I really only care about Segment times to see if I'm getting faster, but I'm suddenly not as interested in them for some reason. Funny how that works.
Here's the part that was the straw that broke the camel's back (italics are mine):
These are our first actions as an anti-racist organization:
-We are reviewing how we design and build Strava to find and fix the ways we are failing Black athletes.
How are you failing black athletes? I don't recall anything asking what my race was when signing up years ago. If they don't sign up, isn't that their choice? Strava is very niche, focusing on the typical triathlon sports (running, swimming and biking).
-We are updating our employee and partner policies to be explicitly anti-racist, which will become enforceable company standards.
I don't care about that. Does anyone else care about corporate policies?
-We’ve assembled an anti-racism task force led by our CEO to establish enduring practices that hold us accountable to these commitments.
Ah...they expanded HR and they feel they don't have enough work to justify their positions. Maybe they should trim HR so they have a shot at becoming profitable?
-We have made a donation today to the NAACP Legal Defense and Educational Fund and are committed to financially supporting organizations combating racism in the future. We encourage you to learn more about their work and donate if you are able.
You are going to contribute to one of the most racist orgs out there while claiming to be anti-racist?

I'm giving Ride with GPS a try. I can do stuff with the free version that I couldn't with Strava. I've already nuked my Strava account.
