As far as academic sources go, there is documentary hypothesis. There is also the Dead Sea Scrolls, and the Samaritan Bible that strongly challenge the narrative that Judaism has an unbroken chain of tradition stretching to mount Sinai.

If you're not into that, there are "off the derech" blogs, some of which are well written. Also see "Aish discovery seminar" responses, or "a critical view of".

Does sexism exist in Judaism? Yes.

Are women subordinated? Thats a more complex question. There are some Jewish communities where women have very limited options, but there are others where they earn the overwhelming majority of the money.

Hope this answers some of your questions, and if you have any more I'm open to answering them.

Thank you for your valuable insights, and might I say you seem very open minded and objective when it comes to religious discourse and scrutiny. My oh my, the muslim and christian zealots I've come across snub me for "daring" to question.

I do have one more question, what happens after death in Judaism? Do you believe in an afterlife or reincarnation?

Oh, thanks. I try to be objective.

Different sources say different things. The common view is that after a person dies, we get put on trial. After the trial, we receive punishment for our infractions, then get "our place" which depends on the level of merit we have. Then there are others who say were just brought back, but thats a minor opinion, and with less textual support.

What does have the greatest amount of textual support, and is literally a pillar of belief is the resurrection of the dead.
