Yeah? Its like saying you want to be a dancer and then getting rejected by a strip club.
My personal advise is dont do software. I have many reasons, including I have done software and I've gotten into this discussion before I cant be bothered doing it again.
My professional advice is that there are countless under the radar software companies out there. I worked for some small businesses before that had massive clients. In these cases, youre looking for their customers and not so much the employer themselves. The businesses I have done work for are completely unheard of, but their clients are the selling point on a resume.

Do you have any thoughts on those shady Indian companies, that “train” you, then farm you out for $12 / hour? Good start, or not worth the 2 year contract?
