You know when they're both standing there, and then the main character lashes out and attacks, and then the camera cuts to the two of them just standing there like nothing happened?
I've searched TV Tropes for Murder Tropes and Violence Tropes and Imagination Tropes and Madness Tropes but can't find what I'm looking-for.
I can think of two examples, but I need to find more (hence why I'm looking for this):
That scene in Mean Girls where Katy leaps over the table to attack Regina and that scene in True Lies when Arnie backhands the annoying carsalesman.
The reason I ask, is I can't return to work or school without a psychiatrist's say so. And he just strung me along for a year, and because I admitted that I have thoughts like these, he won't write the report. So I want to show that this is such a normal thing that it is a common trope in media, with lots of examples. Otherwise I need to start all over again with a new psych.
