In school, a Japanese history expert held a class where he talked about the Japanese Samurai. Apparently, people had to bow down and press their faces against the dirt when the Samurai walked through town, and if the Samurai found your bowing unsatisfactory, he would instantly behead you. This is a fact. Also, people were not allowed to sleep on their left (or right?) side, they were only allowed to sleep on their backs and on their right side. If a Samurai saw you, the Samurai would instantly kill you. This is also a fact.
Yeah, me and all my 10-year-old classmates were jaw-dropped in shock, but how true was that really? Worth mentioning, the Japanese were on the side of NSDAP Germany. Seeing as westerners are taught historical fabrications of absurdium to hate themselves, their past and their people, it wouldn't be so strange if the same thing is happening with the Japanese.
