Sometimes I skip because I feel it's more efficient. Sometimes I skip just because it's fun. Always it embarrasses my co-workers and they ask me to stop. I am a 25 year old 6'3" man who is currently employed doing HVAC maintenance.

It is more efficient. I wonder why we don't all do it. Adult skipping is beast though. Each bound launches you across a room.
I don't skip but I've thought about it and tried it once. It's almost as fast as jogging with less effort. Other than it being strange that's probably why people don't skip. You can't jog in an office, you can't skip in an office.

This should be on a t-shirt. I'd wear it.

My So just thinks I'm nuts and childish :D
I don't skip at work ... Or haven't for a while.
If coworkers asked my why is probably just reply with: 1. Going to get some tonight 2. I just got sext'd 3. Steak and BJ night
You know just to irritate them more ;-)

Doesn't matter it someone is watching; skipping is awesome fun! I swear it's faster than jogging too.
Ands yes, it does elicit the smiles :)

You're the second person to post about speed.
I'm still trying to figure the dynamics about this.
Any idea?

I'm no physicist, but imagine it's a mixture of propelling forward rather than stepping (covers more area) and the heightened speed needed to maintain balance and momentum.
It's a different muscle group (a bit) than running - that plus not being torturous allows longer duration and extra enthusiasm in each launch...at least for me.

Depends on what I'm skipping. Dinner at the In-Laws? Absolutely makes me happy.
[–] WhiteRonin [S] ago
Ok ok, good one!
I actually miss my X-GF's in laws more than her! They were so awesome that I stayed with their daughter longer than I should have. It's too bad that their daughter and I didn't have all the right compatibility requirements to stay together forever.

No, but I've caught my brother doing it. When he's alone, or when he thinks he's alone, he skips. I'm not sure why, but he is adamant he does not skip.

Lol! At least I just look sheepish at being caught.
Even as an adult I think it's childish but sometimes I'm like what the hell :D then my SO catches me on way to the kitchen or something.

Cartwheels ... Nah, I'm not gonna even try ;-)
It's not that bad on your knees, well at least mine don't complain compared to if I tried running these days.

I've skipped along with children of friends and family. I do feel happier at that time, but I think the happiness comes from seeing the kids happy that I'm joining in, and not from the skipping itself.
