The thing is Volcans had emotions. They just evolved to put logic before emotions. Logic doesn't exclude emotions. In fact emotions are quite logical. The problem we have with them is because we don't understand their mechanism.
Logic is based on evidence, whereas emotions are based on feelings, which very wildly based on hormonal changes. To be purely emotional is to be without logic, and vice versa.
It's the other way around. Feelings are based on emotions. Emotions are a chemical reaction in our body. They always have a reason. Tho we still don't understand most of them. Emotions are a glimps into our subconcious. Only because we don't understand all the mechanics of it doesn't mean it's illogical.
