The thing is, if you would grab a test to scale if someone had autism, pretty much everyone will score positive for something. And since social groups have become smaller and more unique. (you can be more and more yourself, since you are able to find and isolate yourself with more and more people). However previously whereas groups didn't interact much with each other, now they do. Since there are more groups, and better and wider range of communication means.

This all ends up with different standards and expectations. As well as interpretation. Since groups don't put much effort into making others understand their point, and just assume from their own perspective. You get these people that just demand others to do the same thing, since they are doing the same. So you get actions and rules etc, that are not based on any logic or reason. At least not to the people. So if one group considers themselves oppressed, they go from their own perspective not considering someone else. Nobody in their subgroup would deny it and keep reminding them they are right.

This logic can basically be applied on any weird messed up behaviour you see around nowadays. Like the stuff with rape culture, feminism, political correctness, religion, etc.
