And as someone who was born and raised on the US/Mexico border, I can tell you that you're full of shit. If you weren't perched on your ivory tower, you'd see it too.
Every immigrant group you just mentioned assimilated into American society. They contributed to American society. Mexican emigrants to this country have been trying to "get their footing" for the past 150 years, and none of it has been fruitful.
The Europeans are spooked because these people are refusing to assimilate, taking their language, culture, and even what passes for laws with them. They still retain strong ties, both familial and financial, to their home country.
When people emigrate, but don't assimilate, its not immigration. Its colonization.
Where does fruit come from lol? I was the only white guy willing to work an agricultural job (lobster wharf) with mexican americans. There's nothing ivory tower about feeding a bunch of paper pushing bigots. You're misusing colonization.
So you have a shit job, and you think that makes you one of them? Are you some kind of reverse Uncle Tom? That's hysterical.
As for colonization, lets see, people retaining stronger ties to their home country than their new one. Check. Not adopting the language of the new nation. Check. Sending the money they make in the new country back to their families in their home country. Check. Organized groups in the original nation making a profit by helping people into the new nation. Check. Exactly what part of colonization am I missing, dumbass?
