If its art post it, the voats will decide its fate. :)
You should however look over the FAQ for voat - https://voat.co/help/faq

Thank you sending me the link to this. Very helpful info :)

One way to go about it might be to post a link to your art using imgur.com, so either link to a single image or album and then post a link to the source or shop as a comment.
That way /v/art remains as a place to look at art without turning it into a storefront, you can still add a link in the comments so you or other new artists can still get some exposure.

I would encourage it! As long as you post them to appropriate places. It looks like /v/Etsy is not created yet, why not start it? I would post my shop, which has just a sharktooth necklace I made.
I believe the convention that had the most support when I inquired a few weeks ago, which I am using myself, is to take each post of my own work with [OC] at the beginning o the title.
I was not able to get clarification if the 2 / 10 rule includes things like comments in the 10, which I think it should. But to be safe for now keep your own content down to 2 of every 10 links you post.

/v/etsy sounds like a good idea. I'm thinking that I may post artwork with a link to my site, So the focus being the artwork but here's the link if you are interested in seeing more from me. But 2 in 10 rule is the best to stick to, then I don't risk being deemed as a spammer. I've just set up loads of social media and websites to get my artwork sales up and running. I just need people who are interested in it.
