They burnt a million quid ... probably kept the value maybe after it all went up in fire...I think got it all back as ...get this into your head...money is fake....fiat money is only a note of promised value and the cash was insured for damage.... probably more than 10 million dollars in today's money was burnt as a stunt but not really destroyed? ...the million British pounds they burnt, later they wrote a book ...the book... K Foundation Burn a Million Quid...from what I seen and read they at heart were a little more than one of these Burning Man Underground Arty Electro Rave Bands, very libertarian, anarchist, on the edge, free...against copyright. Probably would have done more in the age of the internets maybe born before their time. In the end the media and the music industry hated them but they loved doing what they did and probably sampled and ripped off everyone, including some big lawsuit with ABBA? Some punk producer guy Julian David Cope said the KLF owed him money but they burnt it all, anyways it looks like they had the last laugh. ..old archives of Euro and British .media called them super villians I think they famously were stopped in the 90s doing a prank, the 1992 Brit awards as a symbolic art protest, they were going to dump sheep body parts on the audience, throw a fermentation bin full of pig's blood over the front row of dignitaries. and the 1990s everyone was listening to either Rap, Heavy Metal or mindless Techno beats while off their head on stimulats at the Rave clubs. They made one song with an annoying guy on mobile cell phone with shitty ring tone... professional trolls and they would feed on outrage. https://www.notey.com/blogs/klf & https://wikivisually.com/wiki/Jimmy_Cauty also called 'Art Terrorists' they also did the theme for BBC's Dr Who scifi. Drove around the world in an old 1968 Ford Galaxie American police car.
