Archived What is the "isci" module? (archlinux)

I'm trying to install Parabola, and I get a warning after running "mkinitcpio - linux-libre":
WARNING: Possibly missing firmware for module: isci"
I guess it's because the firmware for the module isn't free, but what the hell does it do? (tried to google it, didn't find anything...)

Sounds like something related to Intel SCSI
Seems fairly well documented but this is all Chinese to me.
