Admins just don't have the time to do what you're proposing, especially as the number of subs grows from tens, to hundreds (where Voat currently is), to thousands, to tens of thousands, to hundreds of thousands (where reddit currently is), and beyond.

I think it's a better idea to delegate that responsibility to active users.

An election where you can't control voting or the number of accounts etc. You are a SJW SRS or FPH brigade away from losing control.

We're not talking about elections here, we're talking about votes of confidence.

You get your vote of confidence if you're doing your job properly. It has nothing to do with popularity.

Brigades are not possible as long as voting rights are restricted by activity metrics.

So all of your objections are invalid.
