Today I have begun removing questionable software from my phone in search of decent alternatives. Already I've kissed goodbye to the web browser I've used for over a decade (UC Browser) and now I am looking to replace my file manager. I have a few personal preferences in a file manager so I'm not asking for suggestions of that but the one feature that is going to be hard to replace in my current one is it's app backup feature.
Any other tools I have come across either just dump a bunch of apks from your data folder as is and nothing more or they are far too unnecessarily bloated with crap. The way it works in ES File Browser is to backup your apks by name (eg. VLC.apk instead of org.videolan.vlc-2.apk) and backup your app data in a zip file of the same name in a folder of your choosing. Simple, effective.
Are there any backup apps that work in a way similar to this? Preferably free and not exclusive to Play Store but I'm not afraid of looking for the apk download elsewhere on the web if I have to. Any suggestions here will be much appreciated.

It's worth learning titanium backup. Nothing comes close in functionality, its just overwhelming at first.
