I don't know how it works with iPads and Apple products, but I use Android, and copying stuff to internal storage vs SD card is exactly the same only internal storage is significantly faster. That being said, I'm not saying we shouldn't have the option to have an SD card slot, I think it should be there, I just think one day pretty soon we aren't going to need an SD card, I'm using a Moto G as my phone, with 8gb storage I need an SD card

iPad has NO SD option. I wish it did. If I want to exchange a large number of files (lets say MP3s) between my iPad and a friend's iPad, there isn't an easy way to do that. I like my Android. On Android tablets, we can just copy files to the SD card from the internal storage, hand the SD card to the friend, and have them copy it to their device. Likewise, if a device allows for SD file storage, I can have "secret" files on my device that I keep in my leather wallet and only plug in when I need to access them.

I see what you're saying. But that's more of an iPad problem than a lack of SD card option isn't it? My point is, if we had heaps of internal storage and an easy way to read/write to the storage we wouldn't really need SD cards.
