On your first question, the only positive thing I learned was adjusting my typing according to a target audience. I did use the line "Ay bby u want sum fuk?" on some of the more stupid men, and made a bonus with it (typing more = more cash, and it's easier if you can type with the same "client", because you can create some bullshit story to keep him excited). And I also had deep intellectual conversations a few times, but as you guessed, smart people on a bogus dating sites are extremely rare.

Well, I feel sorry for maybe 5%. They were lonely and single, and they were actually using it as a dating website. I guess they never heard of OKCupid or something. I genuinely felt sympathy for those guys, and sometimes I would come close to revealing who I was, so I could have a beer with them, and get them laid without paying some website a ridiculous amount of money just to chat to a "girl".

The rest? Lying, cheating, dumb, incurious about world events, xenophobic, probably wife beaters, extremely unfriendly (not necessarily all of those categories at the same time). They got what they deserved.

People do a lot worse for cash. People who are a lot less desperate than you do a lot worse.

Are you a chick or are you a straight up catfish?

Creepiest shit some dude ever wanted to do to you?

I always found it funny on the rare occasions that people talk about this, they assume that the people typing those fake profiles are girls. A lot of them are guys, and so am I.

Well, I came across a lot of creepy stuff. Some guy was into putting scissors in girls vagina's. One guy wanted me to suck his shit out of his ass. Oh, and one dude wanted to "fuck me" in front of his granddaughter. And, there's always the dude who figured out it's all fake, and wanting to blow up the company (good luck, it's in Belize). idk, the most creepiest were the guys suggesting to meet in some alley in a large city, or in some middle-of-nowhere parking lot. Have I been an actual girl on a dating site being naive, my picture would've ended up on milk cartons.

Well, believe it or not, but I was actually able to report creeps by sending an e-mail to my affiliate.

It was around $ 300 a week. I spent about 6 hours a day typing non-stop.

I once was very into cybering. So much so, that I would associate the person behind the character, in this case, World of Warcraft, with how they really were in real life. So I would cyber with this girl everyday, and it turned sort of into a relationship. See, I was naive in thinking that, sometimes you can get real feelings by doing this over the phone, online chatting using only phrases, without looking at someone. Eventually, it came time to show ourselves through pictures, and the person that came out was not at all how I imagine her to be.

I feel bad that I did this, but I cut all contact with this person, I was horrified that I had done this to the point where, it grew into more than just well, cybering. I knew I acted like an ass, and I did feel very bad about the whole thing that I went through a severe depression, eventually just ending in my reclusement. I know I'm extremely shallow, I know that, actually there's really not much to say about how I acted, I was horrified, and I was put off that I had contributed in helping this person have an orgasm over the phone.

I learned my lesson then, I never cybered again, and I won't do it ever again. I'm not emotionally capable of handling situations like that, and my reaction was to run away from that situation.

I don't think it's the same as what you went through, but, online sex and cybering should be approached with caution no matter how guarded you really are.

Do you have superior text based seduction as a result of this job and if so do you use it on real dating sites?

Yes and no. The last date I had, I used all the techniques I learned, and she was pretty interested in me as a result. But it was disastrous, because it made me believe I had something in common with her, when I didn't. I realised that when I met her. I still had fun on the date though, so no time lost, and we went our separate ways with a hug.

I wouldn't say "superior" text based seduction.

Has this experience changed your view of how you come across when dating? In what ways?

It made me realise that most people will be super nice to you if they think they can make sexy time with you.

This terrible experience helped me with dating I guess, I now turn down dates who only want me for how I look, but have nothing in common with me, because I can spot that behaviour much easier now. Saves a lot of trouble down the road.

Why did your superiors call the bluff of the hackers?

I can't answer that. Because when you're in the position I was in, you're in the bottom of the hierarchy. You never actually meet anyone of the organisation IRL. All communication is done via e-mail or chat. I was getting paid because AI bots aren't smart enough yet to do realistic chats.

Edit: I just realized you probably don't even know how big this is. I estimate about 20000 people around the world doing this kind of work, but I can't be sure.

Edit 2: To those journalist writing about this subject, and saying that AI bots were behind it, you're a bunch of stupid cunts. Even Watson can't do realistic chats for shit sake.

Imagine getting emotionally involved with someone because it's your job, and you got to act that way, but you never saw them IRL, and you never will. Then reading all kinds of tragedies.

I mean, these people poor their heart out to you, about their families, friends, pets, finance, you name it. I know it's a bit hard to imagine, but it was very hard to forget those things before sleeping.
