This is true. Hell, I've had multiple posts reach the front page in 24 hours, so that's something, and thanks to the whole needing 100 CP, I haven't gotten a single downvote.
Getting your post on the frontpage is easier, which is great because you finally get to hear back from a great audience, rather than get instantly downvoted by two redditors, and feel pressure to submit to the hivemind's interests.
It is slowly picking up again, and we just have to help it gradually grow as it is right now. There is a large enough group on this site, that if most of us keep making submissions here, and inviting more to come over, we will grow to become a strong alternative. The gradual growth is better because it helps us see what kinds of things we want to leave behind and allows people to share opinions on how they want to improve the site, before everyone comes over.
The smaller community allows for more meaningful interaction versus being subjected to an onslaught of chaos involved in reddit (due to the mass amount of factors and individuals)

On the other hand, my lame comments don't get drowned out as fast here.

My second day on here I had three different posts on the front page of /v/all. I was living the dream.

What is 100 CP needed for? To downvote?

That seems accurate, but a lot of these subs seem very dead. Like the last posts in this sub were like 70 days ago. There needs to be more activity.

And it is such a refreshing relief! It feels like communicating with humans again.
