Argos Anti-Corruption Civilian Effort
Intended as a news & research subverse for all things relating, or potentially relating, to global corruption, from bottom to top and everything in between.
- Full subverse description & disclaimer.
Definition of corruption:
https://www.merriam-webster.com/dictionary/corruption
For the purpose of this subverse, the term corruption is defined by default as seen in the above link, with regard to definitions 1a, 1b and 3.
Further expanding upon this, the definition of corruption here includes:
Actions or relationships which are potentially related to influences, entities and agendas which are a detriment to, or an attack on, a functional society wherein the rights of 'the people' to live in peace and pursue self-determination should be upheld.
Rules
May be subject to change in the future, with or without contributor input...
Submission rules:
1. Relevancy; Submissions must be subverse-relevant:
Submissions must relate to corruption in some way, whether in your home country or another part of the world.
Theory/speculation/research submissions are allowed, but must contain a clear premise explaining the potential link to corrupt actions, entities/organisations/businesses or people.
See subverse sidebar for working definition of corruption.
2. Link-posts must have a comment explaining relevancy if not easily discernible:
Link posts are highly discouraged, but, are allowed if the submission author provides a top-level comment explaining the premise if one is not immediately discernible/obvious from the content of the link.
3. Image-only link-posts and images without context are not allowed:
If a submission is based entirely on an image (or images), the author is to create a discussion post containing the image-link(s) and sufficient explanation as to the context and potential link to corruption. Any links within an image must be parsed into text, by the submission author, in a way that allows readers to easily click said links to visit them -- except in the case of pdf links and banned domains; if the domain is banned*, or the link is to a .pdf, break the link but still present it in text form.
* If the domain is a url shortener or has been banned for reasons pertaining to spam or malicious intent, you will be asked to find a more reputable source -- repeat sharing of domains banned for misconduct, will result in a ban.
4. Harassment of other Voat users, regardless of motive, is not allowed:
Leave the drama at the door. If you disagree with another user, engage in civil debate, ignore them, or propose a counter point and let conversation flow naturally.
5. No deliberate dissemination of lies/disinfo/misinfo:
If disinfo/misinfo is posted and subsequently debunked, or a link to a previous debunking is presented to the poster, and the poster refuses to acknowledge and correct the error, a ban may follow for the poster.
6. Images containing gore must come with a warning and must be relevant to the submission:
Posting gory images that are not relevant to the submission, or without an attached warning, may result in a deletion or ban if the poster refuses to be reasonable, sufficiently explain the context and/or simply posted the image(s) for shock value.
7. No pornographic images/links allowed:
v/aacce is not an NSFW subverse; it is not the place for posting porn of any description. Offenders will be banned without hesitation.
