I really want to get into Fire Kings, but I'm still waiting for the new Field Spell to come to the TCG. At the moment I play mainly Evilswarms and Hand Monarchs (speaking of, is anyone else hyped for the new structure deck?).

Right now I have a Starseraph Traptrix mashup I'm looking to sell and UA's.

My personal favorite is Gishkis, I've been playing them since around when Zielgigas was released. I also play fluffals online. I play both for the same reason- I love OTK's

I play Ghostricks and Shaddolls mainly. I've held on to both decks simply because of how flexible they are. I've built an over 40 card Shaddoll HAT deck, a couple variants of Ghostrick (although Parade builds suit me better) and I just love the control aspect rather than OTKing. I tend to prefer using Shekhinaga and Grysta over Construct in a lot of situations. I'm just that kind of player.

I played Shaddolls from DUEA up until about 2 months ago. I always preferred the Chaos-DAD-OTK-wombo-combo style of the deck, so it's probably good I dropped the deck before the Mistake builds started taking over... Are you nervous at all about the ban list hitting Shaddolls?

Never tried Ghostricks before, though. Used Ghostrick Monarchs at one point, but that was just Jiangshi, Specter, Lantern, Jackfrost and Mary with some Dullahan and Alucard sprinkled in. What variants of Ghostricks are there? I might test the deck out on DevPro.

There are quite a few variants. Usually they are separated based on the field spell that they revolve around, which dictates their playstyle pretty heavily. You have the passive Mansion deck, the even more passive/lockdown based Parade deck, the aggressive (relatively) Museum deck, and other variations without field spells like Monarch or Lv1.dek.

HERO. I've played the deck for the last 5 years. Through thick and thin it has always been my deck of choice. Even when it was bad. I prefer the fusion variant but I know the rank 4 xyz spam is better. But I alternate decks at locals.

I played a sort-of-HERO variant a while back. It was technically Dark Synchro (a la TeleDAD) with Shadow Mist, AHL, Alius, and Diamond Dude, but it was a lot of fun.

What do you think of the HERO decks that have been making it into top 32 and top 16 at the TCG Nats?

I like the builds. Dark Law is a great card and the players know what they're doing. People often forget that HERO decks have access to nearly every rank 4 monster, which makes them very toolboxy. I wouldn't be suprised to see a hit on the banlist. Maybe Bubbleman to 2 or even 1?

I used to play lightsworns (mainly rulers until DRulers got banned) but recently I've been playing a Galaxy-Eyes build since the release of Soldier and Cloudragon in the TCG. I found playing 2-3 artifacts and 3 ignition and sanctum really helps increase rank 5 consistency too. I really hope konami doesn't hit galaxies so soon after giving them support - but we'll see. Do you see anything major happening for tellars or mermails with regard to the next banned list?

A friend of mine plays Galaxy, actually. I don't think he's ever looked into using the Artifacts with them though... makes sense since the deck usually already runs the 3 Call of the Haunteds. I really doubt anything Galaxy-related would be hit on the next list, though. Not directly, anyway.

Tellars, I have no idea. Personally I don't think the deck needs to get hit. If it does, hitting the main engine isn't the way to go. Deneb we could live with being at 1-2, but hitting Altair at all will trash the deck pretty terribly. The cards most people dislike are Alpha and Triverr... Both of which could go to 1 and the deck would still be playable. But I still don't think the deck needs the hit at all, at least not compared to the other meta decks.

Mermails I'm hopeful for. Losing Tidal hurt, but I'm hoping we can get Dragoons and/or Diva back to 2/3. Dragoons would be fantastic with Noden incoming, too. Either way, the deck won't be relevant any time soon though. Not until Neptabyss makes his way to the TCG.

It's good to hear someone else shares the hope that galaxies will be around at least for a little while. I personally love running artifacts with them, your buddy should definitely try them out if he's looking for a consistency boost. Also, it's great when your opponent MST's your sanctum or S/T monster during game 1 before they knew what to expect.

I think tellars are pretty safe, like you said the biggest thing that would hurt the deck would be Altair getting hit, and I don't see that happening.

I loved tidal too, played him and Blaster in my Lightsworn rulers but no more :( Hopefully they come back at some point, although I don't see it happening with the new dragon support Konami has coming out.
