The projection from these people is just so funny.

I'm proud of the chancellor for standing up to this bullshit. So far, universities have been bending over to help spoiled children feel better about themselves. I'm glad to see someone finally refuse, and then tell them to fuck off to China.

Honestly I think this whole case is bullshit and statues of men like him shouldn't be removed since we can't really judge the past by our present values but it's not really about this.

everything you said is true but the reason people are fighting against this is because this guy was one of the top figures in British colonialism. I still think there is absolutely no reason to remove his statue but it's not just about muh white privilege, the guy was very active in colonialism which in my opinion quite understandably makes some people pissed off.
