No nothing that large has been successfully patented. Also a key difference is the company has to create something. Since you and all your genes exist in nature your fine.

Corn existed in nature. Monsanto has bastardized it. Don't think they would hesitate to do the same to humans for cash.

I would not be surprised to see them argue in court that you are a derivative work of their patented genes, and so they technically own both you and your children. Michael Chrichton wrote an interesting book exploring this idea: Next

Ive heard of people saying if you are a citizen anywhere, the country owns you, or something like that with all the legal documents involved in a birth.

Not your genes, but prenatal genetic engineering isn't too far off to begin considering legal ramifications.

I would imagine it would be more like Monsanto's Extra IQ Boost (TM) don't leave your baby's intelligence up to chance
