Catholicism is NOT Christian!
Roman Catholicism refuted.
Part of the article on the "Pope":
"In Matthew 23:9, Jesus clearly condemns the use of "pope", from the Greek "páppas", meaning "father". Besides the Pope, of course all Catholic priests are referred to as "father".
The Roman Catholic Church banned access to the Bible:
From everything we've learned so far, it should be no surprise that the Roman Catholic church actively kept the Bible out of the hands of the general populace (the laity, or worshippers, as opposed to the clergy, or priests). At the Council of Toulouse in 1229, the Roman Catholic church decreed:
By this decree, the Roman Catholic church officially deemed it illegal to both possess the Bible and to translate the Bible from Latin in an attempt to hide God's Word from the people. One victim of this evil was William Tyndale, the first to translate the Bible from the original Hebrew and Greek into English, who was strangled to death and then burnt at the stake in 1536. (https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/William_Tyndale)
No Christian would ever keep anyone from the Word of God (much less murder someone for translating it), because we know that the Truth, Jesus (John 14:6), makes us free:
Catholic murders:
"All of the killing by Catholics in the past (estimated to be around 50,000,000 or more murders between 606 AD and the late 1800s! (http://www.cs.unc.edu/~plaisted/estimates.html) absolutely cannot be attributed to actual Christians. Let's see what Jesus says about killing:
"Do not kill."
Not only that, but to not even resist evil! This condemns all attempts at purging “heresy” with violence, from the Inquisition, to the Witch Trials, and beyond.
Jesus' real church, real Christianity, is innocent."
How to be saved!
