The NSA undermined the security encryption of the cellphones because they wanted to spy. Why anyone would let it repeat again? Germany likes China because they have had enough of the British Five Eyes.

True, but going with China is like cutting off your finger to avoid getting a blister on it. Besides, Germany likes China because they want to run the EU the way the communist party runs the People’s Republic. They may not like the Five Eyes spying, but they really don’t like their own lack of control over their people more.

After WWII, Germany and the rest of Europe became occupied territory. NATO is under US control with all the spying (i.e., thinking) done by the British. Now that US is weakening and Brits running for the hills, Germany wants its freedom. This is why they will never allow US/UK to stop the Russian gas pipeline. The next step will be a move out of the EU. Without Germany, there is no EU and no more NATO occupation.
Meanwhile China is trying to move up the food chain. Without Russia they are helpless. This is why there is so much pressure on Russia.
