not dumb, slightly ominous in fact, at least for boeing

in wartime the first material controlled and locked down is metals used in war materials

beoing needs titanium or they coudnt build planes. as beoing IS the US air force effectively, this means the US cant build planes as easily

russia needs titanium now more for building there new nukes, and less for trading

Titanium is one of the most abundant elements on Earth. If Russia does not sell RD-180 engines then US will develop its own.

They need import tariffs not export bans. Only idiots and enemies would propose what they have proposed.

so?

russia now has more titanium. if they sell it to boeing and war goes off, then the metal they just sold will be raining back down and exploding on them

you appear to be under the impression we ARNT on the cusp of war happening and everyone's hoping it can be de-escalated. i suspect you know little to nothing about war or strategy, and you probably shouldn't be commenting on war-related topics if you dont know fuck all

oh whats that you say? "selling titanium isnt a war related topic?" well it is now. that metals either building a US fighter jet or a russian interceptor.
