When Stalin came to power he discovered that the central bank of the USSR was in New York. This is when the West lost its love affair with the Russian Revolution. Bankers started in London and all the major banks are still there. England is the only EU country that did not convert to Euro and is the only one getting out when banks are about to collapse.

The western governments always hated socialists. Even before the Russian version came along.
