I would prefer v/wow to be something different and better than r/wow. Right now r/wow is just a facebook-esque picture dump of "look at me"

Fairly accurate description.

If people start spamming /r/wow (or anywhere else on reddit tbh) with voat links, 2 things are gonna happen

1: We get the people from reddit that we don't want (this sub ends up exactly the same as /r/wow), and

2: voat.co links will get removed from reddit.

This is what I'm afraid of. All these people spamming Voat all over, and everyone is moving over. I might be cynical but it's kinda scary. I feel like we're going to go straight back to Facebook-style posts and all top comments are just crappy attempts and being witty rather than actual discussion, that people on Voat want.

That is why I left Reddit and came here. Reddit was becoming just another Facebook. I am kinda new to wow and I got more info from here since I came to voat a few days ago.

You don't want any moderation, or? Also I don't remember hearing about this removal, what happened?

I don't know how to bring people over here, I feel like just posting it around might be a no-no.

Well, first thing is to generate content to get people to show up and to stay. Then we need to keep the content focused. Do you want this to be "Show off your latest achievement" sub or more of a discussion sub?

I really like the weekly posts on /r/wow. I feel like they do a great job of corralling all the discussions together. Those kind of posts are what I personally look for.
